There are many ways to fix a Canon printer in an error state one of the ways is to fix port issues given below
Go to the Device Manager window. In the Device Manager window, go to the View menu and select "Show hidden devices" from the drop-down menu.
In the Device Manager box, you should now have Ports (COM & LPT) choices.
Then select the “Port Settings” tab. Select “Use any interrupt assigned to port” from the list of choices. Next, select “Enable Legacy Plug and Play Detection” from the drop-down menu.
